For labor relations were conducted 2454 inspections and the fines imposed amounted to 2,160,800 lei while for undeclared work the fines have reached the amount of 1,740,000 lei, according to a press release from the Labour Inspection. More precisely, 206 people were found working illegally.

 

In the field of occupational safety and health inspectors conducted 1,553 inspections and imposed fines of 575,000 lei.

 

The main irregularities found by work inspectors were: many persons were employed without having written employment contracts or without medical certificates, in the job description file there were not specified the duties for all employees, there was no evidence for the payment of wages to employees.

Other irregularities sanctioned were: no evidence for the periodic training of employees, occupational safety activity in the verified units was not properly organized and there wasn’t a risk assessment for accidents and occupational diseases.

 

Consequently, for seven employers the inspectors decided the interruption of the work equipment functioning because there was high risk of accident.
